Some gang of nitwits calling themselves the Pacific Patriots Network barged into Burns, Oregon yesterday (Saturday), per OPB:
An armed convoy with the Pacific Patriots Network surrounded the Harney County Courthouse Saturday afternoon to meet with Sheriff Dave Ward, where the two sides discussed the ongoing occupation near Burns.
The Harney County Courthouse has had to be protected by traffic barriers. Buat that’s not enough for these “patriots”:
After leaving the refuge, more than 20 network members stationed themselves around the courthouse, where concrete barriers had been placed by local law enforcement Friday. The Patriots positioned armed guards at each of the streets leading up to the courthouse.
When asked why the convoy included armed men who appeared to be standing guard at the perimeter of the courthouse, Rice said, “We have a right to protect ourselves.”
And why are they there? Apparently they tried to join the Judean People’s Front down at the newly liberated ex Wildlife Refuge HQ, but were kicked out by AmmonAckbar Bundy and Lavoy “Tent Man” Finicum. Let’s hear from head wannabe Joseph Rice:
“We inserted ourselves as a buffer between the government authorities and the refuge authorities as a neutral moderating space,” Rice said. “We want to see cooler heads prevail, we want to see people step down the rhetoric, we want to see an open dialogue and discussion.”
I’ve been to Harney County a number of times. It has a declining population and it is desperate for any business to locate there. Well, who’s going to locate a business in a county with armed idjets taking up positions around the courthouse, which has to be protected from them by traffic barriers?
Pix of these peace-loving heavily armed jackasses are right here. Now, I’m no soldier, but doesn’t it seem like tactically, if you really feared violent attack, would it be a good idea to stand around in a big bunch in a parking lot?
Meanwhile, law enforcement continues to deal with situation:
