That’ll be ober-patriot (and non-Oregonian) Neil Segird Wampler, who killed his dad back in 1977 by hitting his pop (then asleep in bed) on the head with a big old timber bolt.
Convicted of second degree murder, the poor dear had to do a grand total of 4 years in prison as a result. Oh. but Lavoy “I got all my income from Catholic Charities for foster kids” Finicum (aka Blue Tarp Guy) claims not to know dear brother Wampler. From the Oregonian:
Occupation leader Ammon Bundy and spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum both have said they weren't familiar with Wampler or his past.
"I don't know him," Finicum said. "Never heard of him."
But Wampler was a ubiquitous presence at the start of the occupation, often seen roaming the compound and talking to reporters.
He said he drove to Oregon from his home near San Luis Obispo after seeing an online call for people to support the cause in Burns.
