Sad tale of the lawyer who owned a Nazi record company

There was once a patent attorney, name of Aaron W. Davis, who worked at Patterson Thuente LLC, a Minnesota patent law firm.

And they loved him.

He was one of the five Patterson Thuente intellectual property lawyers who was on the 2018 Best Lawyers in America List, whatever that is.

But, alas, cruel fate intervened, in the form of a nosy newspaper article:

For years, Davis put on an annual Satanic music festival in Chicago called Cathedral of the Black Goat, which was paired with the more covert, Nazi-flavored Night of the Long Knives festival, named for a murderous moment in 1934 when Hitler went on a killing spree to consolidate power.

On metal forums and white supremacist blogs, promotional posters for Night of the Long Knives lured audiences to hear some of the most racist bands from across the globe. Entry was refused to anyone “deemed unworthy,” a definition left to those keeping the gate. Lineups were closely guarded secrets.

Oh dear.  Oh dear.  But wait, there’s more, per reporter Susan Du, regarding the subject matter and song names which Mr. Davis’s label, Behold Barbarity, promotes.

“Take Deathkey, whose 2010 album is called Behead the Semite. Then there’s Aryanwulf, whose songs include ‘Kill the Jews’ and ‘At the Dawn of a New Aryan Empire,’” Du wrote. “There’s also the Raunchous Brothers, whose rhyming poetics include such passages as, ‘You’re of no use to me, you disgraceful f*cking dyke, so I’ll shove you in the oven like the glorious Third Reich.’”

Ah, what wordsmiths these Nazis are!  Anyhoo, this led to Aaron W. Davis being disfellowshipped from his law firm:

Now there’s only 4 Best Lawyers in America at Patterson Thuente’s IP department

In light of allegations in a local article regarding one of our partners, Aaron Davis, Patterson Thuente Pedersen, P.A. has placed Mr. Davis on indefinite administrative leave effective immediately. As a firm, we are in no way affiliated with any of Mr. Davis’ outside pursuits.

Worse yet, the law firm scrubbed him from their website, but not before your correspondent was able to find the above screenshot about their five Best Lawyers, including Mr. Davis.  Now it’s down to four Best Lawyers of 2018, with Mr. Davis mysteriously vanishing from the line up.

I think this is a video of the law firm’s PR department:
